This is a comprehensive introductory course designed specifically to address the needs of expecting mothers that receive therapeutic massage throughout the experience of childbirth. This class will educate and support licensed massage therapists becoming competent, confident, working safely and effectively with expecting mothers during all phases of the pregnancy as well as the Post-partum interval. This course will include; precautions, contraindications, the safe adaptation of support pillows, bolstering and cushions, communication skills, informed consent and practical body mechanics with a supported and supervised clinical experience with expecting mothers.
Elder Sage: Massage Therapy and Bodywork for Older Adults

This comprehensive workshop will include physiological, psychological and sociological aspects of aging, client assessment, contraindications, modification of standard massage techniques, and special methods for working with the elderly, and tips on marketing and maintaining a geriatric practice. Lecture, discussion and hands on. Recommended for class: Massage table, sheets and blankets, pillows/bolsters.
